For the tenth year in a row, Sears Holdings has scored 100 percent on the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) Foundation’s 2015 Corporate Equality Index. This perfect score is a testament to our commitment to equality through programs that reinforce inclusiveness of all associates and an understanding that diversity is a key business imperative.
Corporate social responsibility is more important today than ever. Consumers want to do business with organizations that understand and honor the issues that are important to them. To have scored 100 percent is a tribute to our continued support of workplace equality and inclusion.
“We are proud of our perfect score on the HRC’s Corporate Equality Index for the tenth straight year. Sears Holdings is open, accepting and appreciative of our Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) associates for bringing their authentic selves to work,” said Dean Carter, chief human resources officer for Sears Holdings. Sears Holdings also supports associate networks in the workplace which reinforces the inclusiveness of all associates and customers.

The Human Rights Campaign Foundation provides research, advocacy and education for the Human Rights Campaign, America’s largest civil rights organization. It works to achieve LGBT equality at home, work and in the community. Sears Holdings is one 366 major U.S. businesses, including only five Fortune 100 retailers, to attain a perfect CEI score and earn the Campaign's “Best Places to Work” distinction.
